Firearms Education, Gun Safety Training, and Personal Protection Courses

Concealed Carry Classes

Classes are held throughout the week and weekends at a cost $65 per student.  The class meets all the education requirement for the Florida CCW permit. Once you take the course, you apply for your license at the Brevard County Tax Collectors Office or the Department of Agriculture Office, and your permit arrives by mail in about two weeks.

Defensive Shooting & Home Protection

This advanced course teaches you the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family. You will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home protection, responding to a violent confrontation, and the use of firearms within the law. It provides useful information on the law-abiding individuals’ right to self-defense.

Basic Pistol Shooting

In this 6-hour course, you will learn proper gun handling, firearm safety, range procedures, about ammunition, and shooting fundamentals of revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. The course includes range time, firearms, and ammunition.  This course is also a possible prerequisite for any of the personal defense courses we offer. 

Basic Rifle Shooting

Class runs 8-hours and covers a wide range of information.  Students learn rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing, and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.  

Personal Protection Inside the Home Course

This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law.  This advanced course teaches you the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family.  It provides useful information on the law-abiding individuals’ right to self-defense. 

NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Course

This intense 14-hour course teaches students the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective, and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Students have the opportunity to attend this course using a quality strong side hip holster that covers the trigger, or a holster purse.

Learn how to create layers of safety in your life to protect yourself and your family from today’s criminals.  Attend the Refuse To Be A Victim® crime prevention and personal safety seminar, a program of the National Rifle Association.  This seminar is open to men and women of all ages and will give you the mindset to survive.

The RSO course content consists of RSO’s roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefings which include procedures to follow in the case of an emergency.  A must-have for all range safety personnel.

Hand to hand training from gun retention to warding off an assailant with a knife or other weapon.  You will learn what it takes to defend yourself and your family if attacked by someone with a gun, knife, club, or any weapon of opportunity.  Learn to retain your firearm and remove a weapon from the hands of your assailant.

Force on Force Firearms & Edged Weapons Training

Learn what it takes to survive against a real violent attacker.  This is not a class where you just shoot at paper targets and talk or imagine what could happen.  In this class, you will run real-life scenarios from home invasions, carjackings, robberies, and much more with live thinking assailants using training ammunition and training knives to defend yourself.
